Public hearing: 515 11 St S, 9-unit apartment building

The City of Lethbridge has announced a public hearing for City Council to receive feedback on an amendment to Land Use Bylaw 5700 and Bylaw 3840 rezone the property of 515 11 St S.

Dan Cayer of Built Management Corp. has requested to change the land use classification of 515 11 St S from residential low density (R-L) to direct control (DC) to permit the existing structure built in 1910 to be upgraded and used as a 9-unit apartment dwelling.

There are 3 options to provide feedback:

  1. Email bev.burke@lethbridge.ca by noon on Tuesday, April 7, 2015
  2. Hand deliver to the Office of the City Clerk by noon on Tuesday, April 7, 2015
  3. Make a verbal presentation at the meeting. Presentations are limited to 10 minutes.

The public hearing will be held in City Council Council Chambers on 13 April 2015 at 16:00.

Proposed amendment for increase to permitted uses for Nourse House

The owner of the Nourse House (334 12 St S) has requested an amendment to the London Road Area Redevelopment Plan and Land Use Bylaw 7500 to increase the number of permitted commercial uses for this building. Currently, it’s used as a law firm’s offices.

The owner will be holding an informal open house to discuss the proposals.
